The Painetakers Unravel

The Curse of the Code

About the Book

OK, I know you don’t care about income taxes. I know you think they’re a necessary evil. They’re too complicated, and besides, there’s nothing we can do to change it. Now some of that is true. They are complicated, and they are evil. However, income taxes are not necessary, and there is something we can do about them.

“Painestakers” tells us why we must care about taxes. The fact is if you care about social justice, you’ve got to care about the Internal Revenue Code. If you’re religious or moral, you should care about the Code, for it is neither.

You see, the Code was born of racists and nurtures racism to this day. The Code fosters dependency. The Code is the antithesis of religion and has absolutely no moral fiber. It ensures poor people will stay poor. If you're e helpless, you’ll die hopeless.

It is not on the side of the underdog as it owes allegiance to the rich and powerful. Furthermore, the Code generates money for activities you may consider immoral like war-mongering or abortion. It creates jobs for the rich and steals them from the poor. The Code taxes the law abiding but rewards the drug cartels.

So please, take an hour or so to learn the truth about our Code and as you do, remember this, an Income Tax Can Never be Fair.

If I’m Right!

If I’m right, and rich people get a tax incentive for buying a home, while poor people actually pay a premium for that same home, it is clear that the IRC discriminates against poor people. Furthermore, if I’m right, and poor people pay an embedded income tax whenever they consume a good or service, albeit indirectly, then they are just as entitled to tax benefits as those who actually write the IRS check. That concept follows in many, many other situations. If I’m right, poor people have to use after tax money to buy HSA’s, to set up IRA’s, college funds, etc, while the rich get a 15% discount for all those items. In other words, rich people reduce their taxes by 15% of the amount they pay for a house, or put in an IRA. So what is an incentive for the rich actually turns into a disincentive for the poor. Hardly what was intended, or was it?

Not so many years ago, Congress decided that black farmers had overpaid for their supplies and were awarded $50,000 each in reparations for this injustice. Is it not an even greater injustice to deny poor people the opportunity to buy a home, to provide health care for their family, to set aside money for old age, indeed, to accumulate wealth. Must the stigma of “poor” be carried to the grave? Well, in the cases of 100’s of millions of poor people, Congress has, working through the IRS, ensured that poor people will stay poor. We have no choice as a civilized society but to make this right. We must, therefore, repeal and replace the IRC. The Federal Income Tax must be replaced by a National Sales Tax that exempts tax on necessities. Only then will all citizens’ economic opportunities be equal.
